Description Toni Garcia 2014-10-28 15:47:48 CET
Some months ago, I closed an account for a collegue who left the company (let's say A) and create an alias pointing to another account (let's say B).

After this, the chat roaster shows the account B with the description (name and surname) belonging to the account A, although this account is removed and that name is no present in any account.

If I delete the account from the roaster and recreate it, his name is correctly shown, but I'm using the feature to connect a distribution list (with every account on the server) to populate everybody's list and the expected behaviour is the name is that one in the account description for everybody.

Issue was detected with Zimbra OS 8.0.7 and ZeXtras 1.8.x (on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS) and it's still present after upgrade to Zimbra OS 8.5.0 and ZeXtras 1.10.0 (on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS)

Hello Toni!

The behaviour you describe is caused by the existence of entries about the previous user in the ZeXtras Chat database.
Right now this can't be changed, but ZeXtras Suite 2.0.0 will include a ZxChat "database cleaning" utility that'll take care of this kind of situation.

Any update on this?

Hello Toni!

The Head Dev reports that automated and admin-driven ZeXtras Chat "roster cleanup and deletion" features have been posponed to ZeXtras Suite 2.2, scheduled for release within the end of 2015.
