Bugzilla – Bug 95
block messaging between different COS
Last modified: 2013-10-16 08:27:16 CEST
We'd like to let users belonging to a specific COS to only interact (invite each other, send messages, ecc) with other members of the same COS.
It wouldn't be a problem if it's only feasible at the domain-level instead of the COS-level.
Thank you in advance!
the R&D team rejected the idea of COS-based interaction limits due to the limited benefits against possible inconveniences in client use and technical difficulties (e.g. COS tracking and COS inheritance).
Once the new ZeXtras Chat server is released (the one with XMPP support), domain-level and dlist-level interaction limits will be implemented, along with a "switch" that will allow the admin to lock an user's buddylist.
Marking this request as Solved/Wontfix, I opened a new feature request dedicated to general ZeXtras Chat interaction limits: http://bugzilla.zextras.com/show_bug.cgi?id=96
